BUY FABRIC ONLINE

If you are looking to buy fabric online, we recommend Fabricdepotco.com.

Look for Nylon Tricot 40 Denier in multiple colors.

The fabric is 2-way stretch, which means it ONLY stretches in width and there is no bounce for climbing (yey) or drops (ouch).

It comes very wide (110’), but you can order your piece trimmed to any width, or trim it yourself with very good scissors.

Fabric is $6/yard, if you order 10 yards or more.

We recommend 10 yards for most heights, and that will fit into a $16 flat-rate shipping box to Hawaii.

Trimming is an extra $.75/yard.

You can wash your fabric like lingerie, in a gentle warm/cold cycle with a detergent that does not contain additives or softener.

You can put it in the dryer  on Permanent Press for 15 minutes, then remove and untangle before putting it back in for another 15 minutes. I recommend hang-drying whenever possible.

We have created a photo album of their color swatches, which you can find here!

BUY RiGGING ONLINE

For rigging, we recommend Wesspur.com.

We’ve included the item numbers of each of my favorite items, to help you order from their website.

Most rigs require:

-1 endless loop (I recommend 6’ or 8’) ITEM # SLI602 (6’)

-2 auto-locking carabiners with large gates ITEM # CAR104

-1 rock exotica swivel  ITEM # HAR901

-1 figure-8 descender with the hooks or “ears” ITEM # ASC201

Approximate cost of rigging + shipping is $150.

Treat your gear delicately, check it before every use, never drop it on the ground (can cause potential microscopic cracks) and replace regularly.

We strongly recommend a professional (rigger, engineer, arborist, etc) consult on your rig before use. Live rigging points should be able to hold AT LEAST 10 times your body weight, and some points are not designed for swinging.
